CONCLUSION

This web-project has shown that the popular image of American and British tactics in the Revolutionary War is at best a small part of the truth. Before dismissing British Regulars as automatons wedded to outdated tactics and ridiculous uniforms it would be good to consider what Jac Weller points out: the same tactics and weapons that were used during the Revolutionary War won most of Britain 's 18 th century wars and were eventually used to defeat Napoleon.
